how does it make that crinkle sound?

Ok, so I got a request from a person on etsy, to see if I could make my egg cat toys crinkle. She said she didn't want fluff or pellets or cat nip in them just something that makes a crinkle sound.

Now I have never made anything like that but I know that when Moira was a baby she had toys that when you touched parts of them they would make a crinkle sound.

So here is my question to one of you that might now. What is it that they put in there that makes that sound? Like is it a fabric that I can buy?

I have a new item up in my shop, its my rainbow hearts.
They are so fun my daughter ran off with this set after we did our photo shoot. She goes around handing them out to every one in the house saying "I love you have my heart" its really cute.

New Year New Goals!

Well hello 2011 nice to meet you!
I'm hoping to work well with you this year and set up schedule and stick to it!
Please work with me by adding about 100 days to your self to help me stick to said schedule when I get sucked into my vortexes of procrastination! Thank you in advance!

So yes I'm trying to be better about laying out my plan of attack so I can better balance my work and play and get things on my shop in time for people to actually buy them.
I'm also making it a goal to post on here once a week EVERY week! Plus keep my facebook page and blog frog page also updated on a weekly bases (at this point facebook is the only one weekly to daily updated) I don't twitter (have no clue how to) so that will be next years goal I think.
So now it is time to show you whats new in the shop.



This is my pom pom ear flap hat I can make it any size from newborn to adult and in any color (I made a supper cute Santa one you can see here I made a pink one and a brown and cream on for a brother and sister here and a light blue one here and I have a purple one for sale here)






These are my 3 white eggs. Great for playing with in your play kitchen. (I'm also making a set of 3 brown eggs as well) I also make them with catnip in them as cat toys.





This is my set of rainbow eggs. Great for little ones to learn their colors and just have something soft to grab throw and chew on.










This is my be my anti valentine stuffed heart. I make them as cat toys as well with a little catnip added.

wow the time just gets away

Well here I am letting months go by with out updating.
I'm already getting bogged down with holiday orders, it seams to be coming earlier this year. Not complaining I had a very dry spring/summer in the sales department.
I took a brake from knitting today to go to the pumpkin patch today with the kiddo and I was sweating! Really it was 70! how is that possible in late October! I remember always freezing when picking out my pumpkin as a kid cause it would be raining and 60 degrees. This has been one strange summer/fall.
I have a new line of Halloween cat toys thought up but never got them made :o( oh well always next year!
I have a CRAZY Christmas tree hat with real Christmas lights, pattern thought up that I'm hoping I will have enough time to put out this year.
And lots of new play foods that are coming.
(I know I should have been better about making my stock in the summer but I just didnt want to knit then)
Ok enough talking back to work!

yarn intervention needed

Wow I went to JoAnn's today just to pick up a yarn that I needed well that was a bad idea!
I ended up getting the yarn I needed plus 7 others!!!
I just found this yarn and cant wait to try it out.
Full o' sheep

Dont you just LOVE the colors! Thats what sucked me in couldn't stop picking them up and having to put them in my cart.

there is no place like home

We are back at home after two days at the beach. I love the beach I love getting out of the house but there is a reason I like to do just day trips.
Moira is CRAZY! I mean out of the head crazy when we are not in our house at night. I'm not talking non stop crying I'm talking running around jumping on/off everything. Touching EVERYTHING! That girl was running around the hotel room till 9:30pm when she finally passed out, but don't think all is well no at 3:30am I get woke up by Moira running around the room saying "Morning mommy lets go to the BEACH!" Well it took till 5am to get her to go back to bed, then we were back up at 8am!
Yes I love my daughter but I love her more when we are in our own home at night! ;o)
I have a new "car knitting project" I created while on the trip I'm calling it a travel lovey I'll have photos up soon plus 2 market bags that are done and waiting for photos!
Well hope you all had much more sleep then I did :o)
